I have a lot of friends who have said that they would love to visit Hawaii someday. I completely understand why they feel this way, because I have been to Hawaii on numerous trips, and I have absolutely loved every trip that I have taken there.

Now, before you start thinking that I am some kind of spoiled brat that gets to do anything I want, let me make one thing clear. The reason that I have been to Hawaii on numerous trips is because I have family members who live in Honolulu. Since I was born, my aunt and uncle have lived in Honolulu, and now that they have children, two of my cousins also live in Honolulu. Since my family is all very close with each other, we all visit each other on a regular basis.

Normally, I get the opportunity to go to Hawaii once every two years. The reason is because we will go to Hawaii one year, and then my aunt, uncle and cousins will come visit us the next. I wouldn’t mind going to Honolulu every single year, but my family in Honolulu has said that they actually like getting to come visit us also.

Even though we are less than a month into 2009, I am already having a really great year. Although just about everything in my life has been going well since 2009 arrived, the main reason that this year is off to such a great start is because of the way that I celebrated the arrival of the New Year.

Instead of just going to a party on New Year’s Eve, I decided that I really wanted to go all out in terms of celebrating the arrival of this New Year. In order to do that, I knew that I wanted to take a trip to somewhere really cool. I looked at several different options, but after comparing all of the destinations on my list, I decided that I would have the most fun if I went to Honolulu. Best of all, I was able to find a travel special for Honolulu, which meant that I got to spend a full week and a half in Honolulu with a great hotel and a reliable rental car.

After spending the first week and a half of 2009 in Honolulu, I can confidently say that choosing Honolulu was an excellent decision!

If you can honestly say that you wouldn’t want to go to Honolulu to spend some time during the summer, there has got to be something wrong with you. Obviously, I am just kidding and I don’t really think that there is anything wrong with you, but it does honestly surprise me that you wouldn’t want to spend some time in Honolulu during the summer.

The reason that I’m saying it surprises me is because I got to spend nine days in Honolulu last summer, and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. Like most people, I had heard a lot about Honolulu before I ever went there, so my expectations for this place were extremely high. However, not only did my actual experience in Honolulu meet my expectations, but it somehow managed to exceed them. I had such a great time there that it is honestly hard to put into words just how happy I felt throughout the entire course of my trip. I can’t think of a single time that I felt bored or unhappy while I was in Honolulu.

I know, I know; it is still going to be another six months or so until the summer comes around again. However, I am going to have an amazing summer this year, so I feel like I have every right to be excited (even though it’s over six months in advance). On top of that, I have never really been a big fan of the winter or holiday season, so I honestly wouldn’t mind if the next couple of months just flew by (however, I’m sure they are going to end up dragging on for what feels like forever).

If you are wondering why I am so anxious about the summertime, it is because I am going to be taking a two and a half week trip to Honolulu this summer. That’s right; for a full two and a half weeks, I am going to be soaking up everything that Honolulu has to offer! The reason that I’m getting to take this amazing trip is because I have an Uncle who lives in Honolulu, and he is being generous enough to let me stay at his house for that extended amount of time.
