For most people, their holidays are spent in a place that is fairly cold (if not extremely cold). While this was how I normally spent my holidays, things changed for me this year. I know this is going to sound bad, but after a countless number of years of going through the exact same routine each Christmas, I decided that it was time for me to experience a major change. I’m normally not the type of person to stir things up, but I simply decided that I couldn’t drag through another year of the same holiday experience.

Although I knew it was going to make my grandparents mad, I decided that this was something that I had to do for myself. I talked to my parents, and after a lot of discussion, I finally convinced them that we should take a tropical vacation for Christmas. We looked at several destinations, and finally decided that Honolulu was the best choice.

Well, after actually spending Christmas in Honolulu, I can confidently say that this is where I will be spending all of my Christmas holidays for the foreseeable future.
