When most people think about Hawaii, they think of a few little islands in a chain somewhere out in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, but Hawaii is a lot bigger than you might think, and if you are going to a big city like Honolulu you should really rent a car if you want to see the real Honolulu and not just all the touristy stuff. My wife and I went on our first trip to Honolulu this past June and getting a rental car made the trip a real breeze!

My wife has a brother who has lived in Honolulu for the past four years so we had an excellent guide to the city who could show us all the great sights that the city had to offer than you just can’t visit unless you have your own transportation. When we got there we asked him which place he would recommend to get a car rental in Honolulu and he told us that with out a doubt that the best place he has come across so far has been Dollar Honolulu Car Rental. We went over there and got a nice little sedan for a lot cheaper than I would have expected and as it turns out our car insurance covered renting a car there so we didn’t have to purchase the extra insurance in case anything happened to the car. It is right off of Kalakaua avenue right near Fort Derussey so it’s super easy to get to as well.

Believe me, renting a car in Honolulu will most definitely make your trip so much more fun and if you are going to even start scratching the surface of all the incredible things to see in Honolulu it’s well worth your while!
